At Porto Mari Dive Center, everything revolves around relaxed, personal, and easygoing diving at one of the most beautiful spots in Curaçao. From our location right on the beach at Playa Porto Mari, we walk straight into the water every day, onto the house reef that is a regular stop for many divers during their stay on the island.
Porto Mari Dive Center was born out of a love for this place and the reef that lies just off the coast here. For us, this is not just an excursion spot, but simply home.
We deliberately work with small groups, take our time, and keep things personal — because we believe that is the best way to learn and enjoy diving.
Off the coast of Playa Porto Mari lies the famous double reef, also known as “The Valley.” This reef stretches along the coast and offers a diverse underwater world with various depths and structures, suitable for both beginner and experienced divers.
You enter the water from the beach and soon find yourself swimming above coral, fish, and other inhabitants of the reef. The area is large and varied, making every dive different and giving you plenty of space to explore underwater at your own pace.
It’s no wonder that dive schools from other parts of the island regularly bring their guests here to dive.
What sets us apart is our calm and personal approach. We keep the groups small, plan flexibly, and take the time to guide everyone properly. No rush, no mass tourism, but attention to safety, comfort, and enjoyment.
Because we are located directly on the house reef, many dives and courses start here in a calm and organized way. You gear up at the dive center, adjust your equipment on site, and then simply walk into the water. This makes the start relaxed and accessible, while there are also plenty of opportunities to discover other dive sites.
Playa Porto Mari offers everything you need for a complete day by the sea. In addition to diving, there are facilities such as showers, rinse tanks, and a guarded parking lot. The beach, the restaurant, and the surroundings make it a place where you can easily spend an entire day — even if you’re not a diver.
Whether you’re going underwater for the first time or have been diving for years, we hope you’ll feel at home here just as quickly as we did. And maybe Porto Mari will become one of those places you love to return to as well.
