Scuba Explorer Program

The SSI Scuba Explorer program introduces children from the age of 8 to snorkeling and diving in a safe and playful way. With personal guidance, lots of fun, and plenty of attention to the underwater world.

The SSI Scuba Explorer Program is specially designed for children aged 8 and up who want to discover the underwater world in a safe and playful way. It’s the perfect program for young adventurers who are curious about snorkeling and diving.

The program consists of five sessions, during which your child is guided step by step. We start with a snorkeling session and focus on environmental awareness (Blue Oceans). After that, we enter the water with real scuba equipment—under very controlled conditions. All sessions take place in the sheltered bay of Porto Mari and we never dive deeper than 5 meters.

During each session, we introduce one or more new exercises. This way, your child learns through play, at their own pace, to become increasingly comfortable with the scuba gear and breathing underwater. Of course, we also go exploring together, searching for fish, corals, sponges, and anemones.

If your child becomes enthusiastic and wants to continue, the Scuba Explorer Program offers an excellent preparation for the Junior Open Water course (available from age 10). In addition, the program can be expanded with extra Explorer specialty sessions, depending on interest and experience.

We deliberately work with small groups—often even one-on-one—and schedule the sessions flexibly to fit your holiday plans. Safety, personal attention, and fun are always our top priorities.
