Open Water specialties

The SSI specialties for open water are designed for certified divers who want to expand their skills and dive with more confidence in different situations and environments. These specialties build on your basic training and help you navigate better, plan more consciously, and feel more comfortable dealing with conditions such as depth, currents, limited visibility, or diving from a boat.

All of these specialty courses require at least two open water dives and therefore cannot be completed solely in confined water.
