As an official SSI dive school, we offer this specialty as a fully theoretical program, which can largely be completed online. You will delve into subjects such as physics, physiology, decompression theory, dive equipment, and the aquatic environment. This knowledge helps you to better recognize risks, plan more consciously, and dive with greater confidence.

The SSI Science of Diving course is especially valuable for:

• divers who want to increase their safety awareness

• experienced divers who want to refresh or deepen their knowledge

• divers interested in technical or professional diving

• candidates preparing for Divemaster or Instructor training

Although this course does not include any dives, it has a huge impact on how you dive. You will learn to connect theory and practice, enabling you to make better-informed decisions underwater.

Upon completion, you will receive the SSI Science of Diving Specialty certification, which counts towards the free SSI recognition ratings Specialty Diver, Advanced Specialty Diver, and Master Diver.
