During this specialty, you will learn how to plan and conduct search operations using various search patterns, depending on the conditions and the type of object. You will practice using lines, reels, and marking methods, and learn how to maintain orientation underwater and work effectively with your buddy.

In addition, you will become familiar with the safe recovery and lifting of objects, for example using lift bags. The focus here is on control, safety, and good communication — both underwater and at the surface. These skills are not only useful during search operations, but also improve your overall dive planning, situational awareness, and teamwork.
