Drifting from Daaibooi and/or Hunku

Experience Porto Mari in a completely different way with this exclusive dive trip close to our home base. During this special trip, we make two drift dives from the nearby beaches Daaibooi and Playa Hunku, where we drift with the current towards Porto Mari.

These dives are perfect for those who are already familiar with Porto Mari but want to discover the reef from an unexpected angle. Instead of the usual entry point, we approach the reef from a different direction, offering new lighting, fresh structures, and surprising encounters underwater.

At both Daaibooi and Playa Hunku, we start the dive from the beach. As soon as we descend, we let the current carry us towards Porto Mari. This results in relaxed, smooth dives where you hardly need to swim and have plenty of time to take in the reef and marine life. Along the way, you’ll pass beautiful coral gardens, varied reef structures, and fish-rich zones that you wouldn’t easily see on a regular Porto Mari dive.

Because these are drift dives, every dive is unique and depends on the current, visibility, and time of day. That’s exactly what makes this trip so special: no fixed route, but diving as nature allows on that day.

This trip is ideal for experienced Porto Mari divers, underwater photographers, and divers who are looking for just that little bit extra. Calm, efficient, and with maximum experience — a true insider experience.

For this trip, you need at least an Open Water certification.
Don’t have one yet? No problem — you can start with an introductory dive (2 hours) or go straight into the SSI Open Water course (3 days).
