The SSI Full Face Mask Diving Specialty introduces you to diving with a full face mask, where your nose, mouth, and eyes are fully covered. This dive configuration offers a high level of comfort, stability, and safety and is widely used in professional, scientific, and technical diving environments — but is also perfectly suited for recreational divers.

During this specialty, you’ll learn how to dive safely and in a controlled manner with a full face mask. You’ll practice specific skills such as mask management, breathing, emergency procedures, and communication, and learn the differences compared to a traditional dive mask with regulator. Thanks to the wider field of vision and even breathing, many divers find this way of diving particularly relaxing.

This course is ideal for divers who:

Upon completion, you’ll receive the SSI Full Face Mask Diving Specialty certification, which counts towards the free SSI recognition ratings Specialty Diver, Advanced Specialty Diver, and Master Diver.
