Pure Nature @ San Juan

🤿🌿 Diving into pure nature – San Juan Plantation

Dive with us to the San Juan plantation, one of the most unspoiled and tranquil areas of Curaçao. Here you are literally surrounded by nature — both above and below the water. No sunbeds, no beach bars, no crowds… just you, the sea, and the reef.

On the San Juan plantation, you’ll find four secluded beaches: Playa Largu, Playa Shon Mosa, Playa Manzaliña, and Playa Chiki. None of these beaches have facilities, which gives you the feeling of being far away from civilization.

Because the beaches are sheltered in a bay, the water is usually calm here with hardly any current. Entry is easy, and you swim close to the shore towards the reef, which gradually slopes down. This makes San Juan a pleasant and relaxing dive spot.

The reef is suitable for both beginner and experienced divers. Underwater, you’ll mainly find soft corals, sea plants, and many pristine sections of reef. San Juan is also known as an excellent spot for sea slugs (nudibranchs). Thanks to its tranquil character, this reef is an important habitat for juvenile fish, which find safety here.

During this trip, we’ll spend the whole day at San Juan and make two dives from two different beaches. For true enthusiasts, we’re happy to return another time to dive from the other two beaches as well. This trip is therefore highly recommended if you want to experience a completely different, pure side of Curaçao.

As an alternative, we can also combine one of the San Juan beaches with a second dive at, for example, Cas Abou. This way, we fully tailor the trip to your wishes.
