React Right (First Aid Course)

The SSI React Right course is SSI’s primary first aid course and provides essential training for anyone who wants to learn how to respond to medical emergencies, both in everyday life and within the diving community. This course gives you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to act effectively when every second counts.

React Right is a flexible program in which you can choose which components to follow. The course can include first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and primary stabilization techniques, and can be expanded with oxygen administration for dive-related emergencies and the basics of working with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Usually, we offer a combination of these modules.

Through a combination of theory and realistic practical scenarios, you will learn how to stay calm, assess situations, and act effectively. You will practice life-saving actions, communication, and teamwork, so you are well prepared for a variety of emergencies — in and around the water, but also beyond.

After completing the course, you will be able to act as a first responder: you can provide first aid, perform CPR, administer oxygen, and offer AED support in a medical emergency. The SSI React Right certification is also a requirement for many further steps within professional dive training and a valuable skill for anyone who wants to take responsibility for themselves and others.
