A dive buoy, also known as a DSMB, is an important safety device for every diver. With this highly visible buoy, you make yourself noticeable at the surface, so that boats and other water users know where you are.

During an ascent, a DSMB can be deployed to mark your position. This is especially useful during drift dives, open water dives, or in areas where there is boat traffic. It provides extra security and helps you surface safely.

The buoys are compact and easy to roll up, making them simple to take with you on a dive. In combination with a finger spool, you can deploy them in a controlled manner and clearly mark your position. They remain highly visible thanks to their bright color and are considered by many divers to be a standard part of their equipment.

You can rent a dive buoy with finger spool from us for a single day or for multiple days, for example when you are planning several shore dives and want to add extra visibility and safety to your gear. This way, you can first get familiar with it and experience how convenient it is to dive with your own marking device.

When you join us on a boat dive, we will of course provide the necessary safety equipment on board, including a buoy with dive flag. In that case, you do not necessarily need to bring your own DSMB, although many divers still choose to carry one for extra security during ascent.
