Hey, I'm Claudio!

I'm from Bergen, the Netherlands, where I tried to understand the world as a social legal expert and sociologist. Eventually, I discovered that life underwater is a lot more relaxed, and I decided to do something completely different: diving!

In February 2025, I got my Open Water certification here at Porto Mari Sports (with brand-new instructor Merlijn), and since then, you can’t get me out of the water. So I decided to return as soon as possible after my vacation. At first, I got to take people underwater every day as a divemaster, and now I’ve worked my way up to Assistant Instructor. It’s truly special to see others take their first steps into the diving world – and honestly, I’ve never seen a workplace as beautiful as this one.

I’m especially a fan of colorful corals and sponges, and pufferfish have a special place in my heart – they’re just too cute. For the adventurers, I’d love to take you to the wreck of the Superior Producer: deep, mysterious, and always impressive. Or join me for a dive among the beautiful corals at San Juan.
