Hi, I’m Jessi — Jessica, officially!

I’m from Hamburg, Germany, where I worked as an occupational therapist. Diving has always been part of my life — I come from a true diving family. By the time I arrived at Porto Mari, I was already an Advanced diver with a solid number of logged dives from around the world.

From January to June 2023, I did my DM internship at Porto Mari, still under the PADI system at the time. What started as a few adventurous months turned into a period of real growth — both as a diver and as a person. I developed into a Divemaster and gradually took on more responsibility. Guiding dives, working with guests from different backgrounds, and finding my rhythm on the island felt surprisingly natural.

One of the highlights of my time in Curaçao was celebrating my 30th birthday on Daaibooi beach. My family flew in from Germany for the occasion, and we celebrated together by the sea. Sunset, salt air, and the people I love — it was a birthday I’ll never forget.

During my time at Porto Mari, I grew into a cheerful and dependable Divemaster — someone you could confidently send into the water with a group. After returning to Germany, the ocean kept calling. I eventually decided to take the next step and completed my Instructor Training Course in Egypt.

The sea remains a constant in my life. Whether in Germany, Curaçao, or Egypt — underwater is where I truly feel at home.
